The Secugo app allows you to:
1. Alert
**Send alert messages** for medical emergency, aggression, and fire. Once the alert is sent, your family, friends, and the nearest community members will be informed of your status and location. They can call rescue and/or come help you. Your identity remains anonymous to non-family members.
Alert settings: You can define in Alert settings whom you want to receive an alert from.
2. Location-sharing
**Know where your family and friends are**. Create groups for neighborhoods, local traders, and friends, and watch out for each other.
Accuracy/battery settings: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease your phone battery life. With Secugo, you can define the level of accuracy you need on a daily basis without compromising your security.
3. Create Places
**Know when a member enters or exits an area**. The places are geofenced areas you assign to a member or a group. Once a defined member enters or exits the area, you receive an automatic notification.
4. Privacy
**We respect your privacy**. Only your family and friends can locate you on the map if you want. To be invisible to everyone, you just have to tap on the privacy icon on the localization page (in such case, the app is still 100% operational and will send your location only if you send an alert).
5. Police
**Connect with the police** wherever you are. This is made possible by the international police number database on the app.
6. Safe Places
**Find the nearest safe places** where you can find assistance. Safe places include police stations, hospitals, fire stations, hotels, train stations, gas stations, pharmacies, etc.
7. Missing person/suspicious activity:
**Share pictures in the network** of missing persons, or of any suspicious activity such as racket at school or hit and run. Depending on the situation, you can select who will receive the message (community, family and friends, or group).
8. Pre-alert
**Anticipate incidents such as Medical Emergency or Aggression** Pre-set your 1, 2, or 3 minute(s) timer. If you do not validate it within the chosen time by tapping the screen, an alert will automatically be sent to the community. The pre-alert is a very powerful tool to escort you late at night, or if you need to self-manage certain medical conditions.
9. Medical information
**Carry your medical file and share it with users you want in emergency**. This information will help rescuers figure out the kind of assistance you need, and/or help rescuers reach out to your doctor or your In Case of Emergency (I.C.E.) contact person.
10. Chat
**Connect with your loved ones**. Send messages, photos, and videos; share your location; and choose who to connect with from the contact’s list.
11. I’M OK
**Assure your community you’re OK**. Inform your community about your condition and be informed of contact’s status in case of disaster.
